10 Kilo-hits!

I am pleased to point out that Lacrimarum Valle has recently passed the threshold of 10,000 hits! This is a great personal achievement, and makes me glad that I am doing something worthwhile with my "internet slob time."

Looking at some recent statistics:
  • Average daily count is 150 hits
  • Recent peaks included January 7th (about 700) and 26th (about 270)
  • Average visit length is 2 mins 19 secs, with 1.6 page views per visit
  • The site has been visited from such countries as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy (including Rome), Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, and the USA
  • Across the United Kingdom it attracts people from such regions as Birmingham, Bracknell Forest, Bury, Cambridge, Fife, Glasgow, Hampshire, Leeds, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Norfolk, Newham, Oxford, Redbridge, Stoke, Wiltshire, Windsor and York
  • Referrals are commonly from fellow Catholic Bloggers, Google searches, and hateful discussion forums
So thank you, everyone, for having the heart to check back and enjoy reading. Even Beelzebub. There are many things I'd do if I had more time, but am just grateful people take an interest in my mundane ramblings.

May St. Isidore of Seville, patron saint of the Internet, pray for us!
All spiritual growth comes from reading and reflection. By reading we learn what we did not know; by reflection we retain what we have learned.

Prayer purifies us, reading instructs us. Both are good when both are possible. Otherwise, prayer is better than reading.

The man who is slow to grasp things but who really tries hard is rewarded, equally he who does not cultivate his God-given intellectual ability is condemned for despising his gifts and sinning by sloth.

  1. As I check your blog 149 times a day (on average) I was curious as to who your other reader might be....
