Louis meets Fr Andrew Southwell

It was a testament to our improved coping skills that just two weeks into Louis' life we were able to travel down to London to be present at a friend's Baptism! This was before we had even Baptised Louis of course. It is certainly much harder having two children as opposed to one, but also the acute adjustment seems to have been much easier. In fact, we were out of the house the next day celebrating Maddy's birthday (albeit not quite as dressed up as last year)! I remember with Maddy it seemed like we were in bed for several days before emerging...

Louis now weighs 11lb 2oz and is really thriving. He even has a baby-gro which says on its front "the future of English Rugby"!

Neophyte

From Louis' Baptism

Louis' Baptism went really well. I opted against using it for the prayers, but now am finding the Latin "Ludovici" a pretty cool name! As you can see from the picture above, Louis is very smiley about his new Baptismal Grace. I hope to write more soon, with more photos, and some reflections on the occasion... For now you can follow the link above for my own amateur photos of the day, and browse the baptism booklet on Scribd.

Louis baptism today

St Louis marie de montfort

8: For by grace you are saved through faith: and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God. Ephisians C2

We are very excited that Louis is being baptized today;
Purified from original sin and by the grace of God given the most precious gift of faith, for who of us can claim to believe of our own strength: even faith itself comes from God.

5: One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
6: One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all. Ephisians C4
